All students should be experiencing windows and mirrors into the cultures and traditions of their peers. In addition to giving students exposure to diverse characters and books, another goal is to embrace and promote a sense of "belonging" for all students. During this session, we will explore six diverse book titles along with corresponding suggested activities, discussion questions and conversation starters. Each book chosen has a powerful storyline to boost students' understanding that our differences make us stronger.
